Are you an current, existing MSK patient of ours? As part of your journey with us we may require you to come in for a Follow Up MSK Consultation so that we can check your progress. This is a good chance for you to have a further conversation with the specialist about any further issues you may be experiencing.

What can I expect from the consultation?

You will receive a questionnaire prior to your appointment where, in brief, you will have the opportunity to provide us with some information about any updates on your condition.

Review of treatment regimen

Relevant assessments which may include strength, range of movement and/or stability testing

Orthotics adjustment

Taping

Footwear advice/fitting

Device changes to treatment plan

Report of progress

Revisit Rehabilitation exercises

What will I need for my consultation?

We will need to know if you have had any updates to your medical history since your last appointment. If you have any scan results, test results or referral notes from your GP or other health professional we suggest that these are also brought to the appointment.

A pair of shorts or loose fitting trousers will be required.

Pain inside the foot or lower limb? Joint, muscle, tendon or difficulty when walking or performing your favourite activities? This is the appointment for you and is the first step on your journey to becoming pain free. In this appointment you will get the chance to have a one-to-one with an experienced podiatrist. The podiatrist will plan the best course of action moving forward.

You may be discharged after this appointment, depending on how your progress has developed.

If further treatments or appointments are required this will be discussed in your appointment.

These may include (if you’ve not already had them yet): Orthoses/Insoles, The Richie Brace, Rehabilitation programmes, Taping, Run3D Assessment, Shockwave Therapy, HOKA footwear advice, Steroid Injection Therapy, Ultrasound Imaging, Consultant referral or triaging onto another consultation option.
