Initial Core Routine Podiatry/Chiropody Consultation
Are you currently suffering with callus (hard skin) corns and/or problematic toenails? If so you may need to see a Podiatrist for one of our Core Podiatry/Chiropody assessments and treatment.
Initial Musculoskeletal (MSK) Consultation
Pain inside the foot or lower limb? Joint, muscle, tendon or difficulty when walking or performing your favourite activities? This is the appointment for you and is the first step on your journey to becoming pain free. In this appointment you will get the chance to have a one-to-one with an experienced podiatrist. The podiatrist will plan the best course of action moving forward.

Core Routine Podiatry/Chiropody Care (returning patients)
The Foot MOT. Core podiatry encompasses all methods of foot health management including treatment of the nails and skin as well as assessment of vascular/neurological status.
Toenail Cutting Service
Do you struggle to cut your own toenails and have no other problems with your feet? Our toenail cutting service maybe the best option for you.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Analysis
Pain inside the foot or lower limb? Joint, muscle, tendon or difficulty when walking or performing your favourite activities? This is the appointment for you. We will conduct a full and thorough medical history before assessing your foot & lower limb pain, structure and strength.
Advanced Musculoskeletal (MSK) Analysis
An entirely new way to view gait assessment. Our mission with this ground breaking technology is to show you the “whys” of what could be going wrong when you move. "The movement MRI".
We feel very lucky to be exclusively offering this state of the art technology to Cumbria and surrounding areas. This is our most extensive method of gait.
Pediatric MSK Analysis (U16’s)
Also referred to as Podopaediatrics. Is your child having difficulty with foot or leg pain day to day or during school activities/sport? We can assess, diagnose and treat conditions of the paediatric foot.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Assessment
Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, trapped nerves, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Podiatric Surgery Consultation
Mr George Flanagan is a fellowship trained podiatric foot & ankle surgeon specialising in the surgical and non surgical management of the foot & ankle. George is doing one day a month at the clinic offering consultations, steroid injections and now, surgical planning.
PhysioPod Multidisciplinary (MDT) Analysis
PhysioPod is the first appointment of it’s kind and is exclusive to the North West. It is a Multidisciplinary (MDT) Analysis where you have Physio (Jemma Donald) and Podiatrist (Zoe Wilson, Lead MSK Podiatrist) in One room!!
Follow Up MSK Consultation
This is a service offered to existing patients. This is a process and we want to help you every step of the way. We want to keep regular updates on your Foot & Lower limb health and any active treatment programmes. Any patients presenting with new issues or have not been to see us within 12 months will need to attend for a new Initial MSK Consultation.

Orthotics
Orthoses/Insoles come in all shapes and sizes. We have an expert team specialising in the prescription of Custom made and over the counter devices. All Custom devices are Cast via 3D Scan, Foam Impression or Plaster of Paris.
The Richie Brace
The Richie Brace is a type of AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis) which is a specialist device for complex Foot & Ankle Pathologies. All Richie Braces will require Plaster of Paris Casting of the Foot & Ankle.
Shockwave Therapy
Treatment for Tendinopathies and Plantar Fasciitis/Fasciopathy recognised by NICE Guidelines. Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that involves creating a series of high energy acoustic waves that are directly delivered to an injury through contact with the skin via an ultrasound gel medium.
SWIFT Verrucae Treatments
Swift is a new technology, developed in the UK, which has been licenced for the general treatment of skin lesions in Podiatry and Dermatology. Swift uses microwave energy which is delivered through a special probe to treat the affected tissue. Package includes 3 treatments and a follow-up.
Verrutop Verrucae Treatment
Verrutop is a new type of wart treatment. Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue. Instead it denatures the viral protein and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath.
Nail Surgery
Treatment for ingrown, distorted and/or fungal nails. An offending section of an ingrown nail will often cause pain, inflammation and in some cases, infection. It is therefore imperative that this problem is treated in a timely and efficient manner to avoid further complication. Price includes 2 x follow up appointments.

Lacuna treatment involves using a specially designed micro burr and painlessly drilling small holes within the nail plate across the fungal infected area to expose the nail bed. Application of anti fungal spray is then able to pass through the small drilled holes which can effectively treat the point of infection under the nail.
Injection Therapy
A steroid can be used in isolation or alongside other treatments to alleviate pain associated with arthritis, nerves, tendons and other associated foot and ankle structures.
Rehabilitation Program
We use specialist software and a multidisciplinary team who work together with you to achieve the best outcomes from your custom rehabilitation program.
Diabetic Foot Screening
Having diabetes means you’re at much greater risk of developing foot problems. But understanding how diabetes affects feet can help you avoid these complications. Having an annual check up is very important.
Warm Wax Therapy
This relaxing and effective treatment is most effectively used following your routine podiatry appointment although can be done in isolation or purchased as a voucher for a friend or family member in need of a pamper!
